OUT

Portraits by Andrea Phox

New Jersey Repertory Theater is holding their first Pride Festival at the West End Arts Center 132 West End Ave in Long branch NJ. I am honored to present 15 portraits of LGBTQ+ friends of mine in athis exhibition I have titled OUT.

The idea for OUT came from a conversation I had with some friends ( Sammy & Michael) who made it a point to say that there is more to representing the Gay community then presenting the iconic Drag Queens. This really resonated with me and when given the opportunity I wanted to photograph regular folks who happen to be Gay and who serve us in our community in the myriad of ways they do.

Please come by the opening of “OUT” the Photography and the Art Exhibition “Our Way” on June 3rd from 4-7pm at t hue west End Arts Center, enter through Sairs Avenue entrance. This is a Free event, but please check schedule to join NJRep for the shows that they will feature all month. Please see schedule below.
